Step 2: DNA Extraction

Our DNA extraction kits use advanced magnetic bead technology instead of traditional spin columns to achieve optimal results. By mixing magnetic beads with the homogenate, the DNA has extended contact time with the active surface. As a result, this method reduces high shear stresses on genomic DNA (gDNA) that would occur during centrifugation with spin columns. Furthermore, it cuts the processing time and effort in half. The Magnetic Rack Assembly also simplifies the extraction process, streamlining the workflow. Additionally, our kits are free from organic solvents, ensuring a safer and more environmentally friendly approach. The quality of the extracted DNA is suitable for PCR amplification, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), micro-array genotyping, and enzymatic reactions.

Comparison of PrecisionPak MAGneat Tissue DNA Extraction Kit and “Qompetitor” Kit. Purified DNA from 30mg of various tissue samples were extracted either using PrecisionPak MAGneat Tissue DNA Extraction kit or “Qompetitor” kit, following manufacturer’s instructions. Extracted DNA samples were run on a 1% Agarose gel. M – 1 kb ladder.

 

PCR Amplification from DNA Isolated Using PrecisionPak MAGneat Animal Tissue DNA Extraction kit. PCR amplification was performed to amplify a 900bp fragment of ACT1 gene. PCR products were run on a 1% Agarose gel. M – 100bp ladder.
