Bullet Blender for Sample Lysis
The Bullet Blender bead mill homogenizer can efficiently prepare up to 24 samples in just minutes. Using patented striking technology, it thoroughly lyses samples, ensuring they are ready for downstream applications. Each sample is homogenized consistently, resulting in high yields and minimal variation between samples. For detailed preparation times and speeds, visit the protocols page.
PrecisionPakâ„¢ for total RNA Extraction
The Next Advance Bullet Blender paired with the PrecisionPakâ„¢ streamlines the homogenization and extraction workflow, delivering excellent results. Various packs are available, each with protocols tailored for specific tissue types and biomolecule extraction. The RNA extraction packs also contain Proteinase K and DNase I to effectively remove DNA molecules. Each kit also provides an optimized protocol tailored to your specific tissue.
For over a dozen years, the bead lysis kits in the PrecisionPak have been trusted and cited by researchers worldwide. These kits include a combination of bead sizes to ensure thorough tissue homogenization without degrading nucleic acids. Simply add your sample to the lysis kit tube and homogenize at the appropriate settings for optimal results. For details protocols and settings, visit our protocols page.
Step 2: RNA Extraction
Our RNA extraction kits utilize advanced magnetic bead technology instead of traditional spin columns, delivering optimal results. Mixing magnetic beads with the homogenate ensures extended contact time between the RNA and the active surface. This approach minimizes high shear stresses on the RNA that occur during centrifugation with spin columns and cuts the processing time and effort in half. The Magnetic Rack Assembly further streamlines the extraction process. Additionally, our kits are free from organic solvents, ensuring a safer and more environmentally friendly approach. The quality of extracted RNA is ideal for RT-qPCR amplification, RNA-Seq, micro-array analysis, northern blotting, and cloning.

Comparison of PrecisionPak MAGneat Tissue RNA extraction kit, “Qompetitor” kit and Trizol extraction method. Purified RNA from 30mg of various tissue samples were extracted using PrecisionPak MAGneat Tissue RNA Extraction Kit or “Qompetitor” extraction kit, following manufacturer’s instructions or using the Trizol extraction method. Extracted RNA samples were analyzed using the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer. L – Ladder

One-step RT-qPCR amplification from RNA isolated using PrecisionPak MAGneat Animal Tissue RNA Extraction Kit. Total RNA was extracted from chicken pectoral muscle and used as template for the dynamic range setup targeting GAPDH fragment. The reaction was set up using eight 10-fold serial dilutions (200 ng – 200 fg, six replicates at each concentration) of chicken total RNA. The amplification plot shows reproducibility and accuracy across a wide dynamic range.
