Got bacteria to lyse? The Bullet Blender can do it!
In this paper published in Biotechnology Letters the Bullet Blender® was used to lyse L mesenteroides cells prior to HPLC analysis.
Melanoma Tumors Homogenized in the Bullet Blender
The Bullet Blender® was used to homogenize melanoma tumors in a study from the H.B. Wells Center for Pediatric Research that shows how ultraviolet B radiation inhibits anti-tumor immunity.
Bullet Blender used in Fragile X syndrome study
In a study published in Cell, the Bullet Blender® was used to homogenize neocortex samples to study the posttranscriptional regulation of NOS1 by FMRP. This may contribute to cognitive dysfunction in people with Fragile X syndrome.
The Bullet Blender can homogenize the toughest samples, even bone!
Researchers from Pennington Biomedical Research Center utilized the Bullet Blender® to extract RNA from a mouse femur to examine gene expression in highly mineralized bones. Our durable stainless steel beads and Bead Lysis Kits allow researchers to homogenize the toughest samples quickly with ease. Curious about the Bullet Blender’s role in the experiment? See the […]
