Next Advance, Inc. announces the Bullet Blender® BLUE 5, the newest addition to the Bullet Blender® family of homogenizers. Our most powerful model, the Bullet Blender® BLUE 5 can homogenize or disrupt tough samples up to 1 gram in size in only 5 minutes or less. Like its predecessor, the Bullet Blender® BLUE which processes up to 24 samples in microcentrifuge tubes, the Bullet Blender® BLUE 5 uses a patented technology to effectively process up to 12 separate tissue or cell culture samples in 5 mL tubes, without significantly heating up the samples. This new model has Air Cooling™ to keep the samples cool during homogenization, and to prevent heat build up when processing multiple rounds of samples. Because it processes multiple samples in parallel, in just minutes, results are consistent, reproducible, and cost effective. The processing can be tailored to a wide range of samples, from cell cultures to tough tissue such as heart and tumors to plant samples such as roots and leaves, by using different beads, agitation settings, and durations. It is also convenient for vortexing multiple samples for several minutes, such as for phenol chloroform extractions. Samples remain in separate sealed tubes, without any intrusive probes, so cross-contamination is mitigated.
