Snap-cap tubes are made of high quality polypropylene and are very easy to open and close. These 1.5 mL kits can be used in the Bullet Blender® 24 Gold+ (BB24AUP), Bullet Blender Storm Pro (BT24M), Bullet Blender Lite (BT12LT) and former 1.5 mL tube models (including previous Storm and Gold models) equipped with a snap-cap contact plate.
1.5 mL snap-cap kits can also be used in Bullet Blender 5E Pro (BT5E) and Bullet Blender 5E Gold+ (BB5EAUP) with the appropriate tube adapter.

Kits are available in DNase/RNase-free or non-sterile versions, and are sold in packs of 50 or 250.
1.5 mL Green snap-cap kits:
Excellent for small samples of any toughness. Green bead lysis kits are filled with a mix of stainless steel beads and are ideal for buffer volumes between 100 μL and 300 μL.
They’re great for small samples of tougher material like skeletal muscle or heart, but can also be used on softer samples like spleen or lung.
1.5 mL Navy snap-cap kits:
Extra power for your tough samples. Navy bead lysis kits are filled with a custom mix of stainless steel beads and are ideal for buffer volumes between 300 μL and 600 μL.
They’re great for samples too large for a Green kit and deliver extra homogenizing power for challenging samples like bone, tumors, and hard-shelled insects such as ticks. Navy kits can also be used for softer samples so if you’re looking for one kit that can do it all, Navy kits are the best choice.
1.5 mL Pink snap-cap kits:
Best used to homogenize small soft samples like liver or brain, Pink bead lysis kits are filled with a mix of zirconium oxide beads and are ideal for buffer volumes between 100 μL and 300 μL.
1.5 mL Red snap-cap kits:
Ideal for softer and larger samples with target buffer volumes ranging 300 μL to 600 μL.
Red bead lysis kits are filled with a mix of zirconium oxide beads — perfect for the homogenization of tissues such as kidney or spleen.
1.5 mL Yellow snap-cap kits:
Lyse your bacteria and cells better. Yellow Bead Lysis Kits consist of tubes that are pre-filled with small ceramic beads selected for high yield, high efficiency bacterial and cell lysis.
1.5 mL Orange snap-cap kits:
Extract bacteria or create single cell suspensions from tissue samples. Orange bead lysis kits are filled with large stainless steel beads that will disrupt tissue structures without lysing all the cells. You will want to adjust your homogenizer speed and time settings for this special application.
All colors of snap-cap kits are shipped with red silicone plugs.
