Designed for magnetic bead extraction processing
Designed for the PrecisionPak, the magnetic rack assembly allows easy processing of up to eight samples for DNA extraction and RNA extraction from samples. It simplifies workflow for the three types of steps in magnetic bead extraction: mixing, washing, and magnetic separation. The magnetic rack assembly consists of 3 parts:
- Mixing Base
- Tube Rack
- Magnetic Stand
The tube rack can hold up to eight 1.5 mL (screw cap or snap cap) or 2 mL tubes.Â
To separate magnetic beads from a solution, slide the tube rack onto the magnetic stand.
For mixing, incubating, or washing steps, place the tube rack on the mixing base and rock it back and forth. The mixing base captures the tubes so that you can easily mix the tubes by hand or place them on a rocker.
